UPDATE : Monday 06.06.16 - Long trips, and long nights. I still havent got use to this time schedule. I am currently starting this at 11:06 am Berlin time. I have several blisters on my feet due to walking to much with shoes that I wear all the time. So far I have seen so many different people here, including Syrians, black people, and Muslims! ( i think ) I am really enjoying it here, I am homesick, but my host family welcomes me like another daughter. But my host is a twin so its like double the trouble! :) We left the US at 12:30 pm and arrived in Düsseldorf at 8:30 am. We all missed our flight for Berlin because of a delay in Chicago. So we took the U-Bahn at 4:00 pm and rode for 4 hours until 8:30 pm. Then Laura and her mom took me to get Chinese food! It was a rough 27 hours with a 10 hour delay. Berlin was nothing of what i expected! It is so beautiful here! Everything is great here. I havent been away from my family this long. There are so manybuses and trains, and I rode probably every single one of them. I rode them enough times that I can probably get around by myself! i only have 9 more days left and there is so much to do in so little time. i will definently bring my family over here in the years!
UPDATE : Tuesday 06.07.16 - we went to the concentration camp! it was really interesting to see how people were living in the camps, and I took several photos! It was sehr warm! The concentration camp wasnt all original, a few buildings here and there but not all. After the camp tour a group got together and went down to the lake and just chilled out with everyone until it was time to go home.
UPDATE : Wednesday 06.08.16 - we went to an underground tour called the Berliner Unterwelten and it was sehr gut! We couldnt take photos due to copyright reasons which is dumb, cause it would have been good photos for memories. After the tour while i was waiting on to get picked up by Laura, I took a stroll with some friends into the forest. The forest was so peaceful. Then around 5ish we met everyone at the street festival and rode several rides! AND I HAD MY FIRST CREPE! it was good. at this festival there was several races there. Syrians, muslims, blacks, dark complected ( like hispanics ) and they were all speaking German! it was the coolest thing ever
